Slips, Trips and Falls

These three words always appear together to identify a different type of hazard on a risk assessment.

Slip: when the foot slides forward as it makes contact with the floor.

Trip: when the foot catches something unexpectedly in its path resulting in a stumble.

Fall: to move downwards without any control.
